Austin’s Therapist for Adults & Couples

(512) 297-6672  ✦  Austin, Texas

Compassionate counseling for adults and couples in Austin, Texas.

Do you feel anxious about the direction your life seems to be headed? Are you unsure about how to handle conflict in an important relationship?  Or does the loss of an old relationship still seem to have a grip on you?

As a therapist, I specialize in helping people who are facing major life transitions or troubled relationships. While each specific problem guides therapy, my approach is designed to not only lead to insight, but also to solutions.

Areas of Specialization:

Relationship issues: Couples counseling, divorce recovery

Healing from abusive or high-conflict relationships: Domestic violence, personal empowerment

Mental health and wellness: Overcoming anxiety and depression, working with anger, stress reduction

I take on a creative approach to counseling

I believe that when it comes to counseling, there is no “one size fits all” approach; it all comes down to the individual. As a licensed therapist, I take on a creative approach during the course of therapy sessions and build on each client’s strengths.  In addition to “talk therapy,” I incorporate EMDR and iRest, two evidence-based methods for treating trauma, and mindfulness techniques.

I counsel individuals and couples alike, addressing issues such as depression and anxiety, anger, reduced confidence and stress. When it comes to couples’ counseling in particular, I can assist with communication issues, feelings of disconnect, issues of trust and also concerns that arise due to blended families.

From marriage counseling and the issues that can arise post-wedding, to helping individuals move on from past traumatic relationships, I can help clients work towards their individual and collective goals in a non-judgmental and safe environment.

Whether you are facing a major life transition, have experienced trouble within a past relationship, or are unsure how to approach certain issues associated with your current relationship, I can help to provide you with the tools you need to move forward.
